Getting started

Zeso registers your domain and then provisions everything that has to exist before the name serves anything: a DNS zone, nameserver delegation, an HTTPS certificate, and a site to point it at.

What you need

A domain name, an email address, and a full postal contact. The registry requires a complete registrant contact for every registration, so a partial address fails at the registry rather than here.

What happens after you register

The provisioning pipeline runs in a fixed order, and every step is recorded:

1. Register the domain — the registrar issues it in your name.
2. Create the DNS zone — so we can manage records and certificates.
3. Set nameservers — automatic when the domain is registered with us.
4. Wait for DNS to go live — usually minutes. We check, you do not.
5. Attach the site and issue TLS — apex and www, free certificate.
6. Create your site — a landing page is provisioned on the free tier.
7. Configure email — SPF, MX and DMARC published so mail authenticates.
8. Go live — the domain serves your site over HTTPS.

If a step fails it is retried from where it stopped, not from the beginning. A domain is never registered twice.
